Mia Khalifa is finally coming out of retirement. In case you hadn’t noticed that she was gone (because internet videos are forever), let us take a moment to remind you that the world’s most famous porn star retired from the business in July last year. Despite being Pornhub and xHamster’s most searched adult performer internationally in 2016, Mia decided to call it a day after just three months of working in the adult film industry.
Though we are sure that memories of her exceptional work are still alive in your minds (and your hard drives), Mia Khalifa is now ready for a career change. From fast-food server to porn actress and cam model, the 24-year-old has come a long way in the last two years and feels she is now ready to transition to the other thing she loves: uncensored, unfiltered sports commentary (which, go on admit it, is something you’ve dreamt of doing at some point or the other, haven’t you).
Mia will be teaming up with former basketball ace Gilbert Arenas for Complex‘s new sports talkshow, Out of Bounds. The show is set to premier on Complex News‘ YouTube channel on October 16, 2017 at 2pm ET — which means Indian fans would be able to watch it on October 17 at 2.30am and will be broadcast daily. According to a report carried by the Washington Post, producers are attempting to bring “the comments section to real life”’ and that the show will ‘personify “the rawness of social media commentary in an authentic way”.’
If you’re wondering what qualifies a former adult entertainer for the role of a sports talkshow host, you probably haven’t been keeping up with her on social media. Mia might have been MIA from porn but she’s been using her Instagram and Twitter to share her support for her favourite teams and, sometimes, even hit on her favourite players – something that, surprisingly enough, did not always end well for her. Mia is known to have attempted to slide into now co-host Arena’s DMs, post which she was unceremoniously hung out to dry. Even so, the former porn performer seems quite excited about Out of Bounds and has been quoted as saying, “I can’t wait to offend and upset a whole new fan base.”
